very cool! something like my dream.

  • stavrogin wrote on Jul 25, 2008 at 5:30 pm

the opposites / associations done here are quite stupid, does the pidgeon want to be an eagle with america’s flag behind? The rain forest become buildings?

  • Tony Vallad wrote on Jul 25, 2008 at 8:04 pm

    I love them. Great work.

  • Izman2008 wrote on Jul 25, 2008 at 8:56 pm

Nice work! I especially like the sunset one.

  • Ashlua wrote on Jul 25, 2008 at 9:59 pm

Yes, the pictures five and seven is so stupids associations !!…

  • Eithiriel wrote on Jul 28, 2008 at 1:28 am

    Nice.

  • Sage wrote on Jul 28, 2008 at 3:02 am

Why would a cat want to be a Wolf? Maybe a Lion or a Panther or Unicorn but a Wold?!

  • Sage wrote on Jul 28, 2008 at 3:05 am

    Whoops, Wolf*

Also What are we saying about the Blonde chick? Is she ugly and wants to be pretty? Or does she have some type of cyber-cartoon fetish?

  • sumati wrote on Jul 28, 2008 at 9:04 am

    nice collection, thanks for sharing.

  • jaq wrote on Jul 29, 2008 at 9:52 pm

I think the last two are from a different artist… I’ve seen this compilation before but without those two. it looks like the ariel girl did that one herself. not the best shooping. The rest are brilliant though.

  • Mich@el wrote on Jul 30, 2008 at 1:53 am

The reflection of the old lady in relationship to the girl is wrong. Don’t mean to be picky…but if you’re going to ps something at least do it correctly.

This looks like a very well thought out series.

Just an idea for five; instead, why not flip the rolls of the forest and the city? Instead of the forest being the more dominant focal point, make the city scape dominant and use a puddle in the street perhaps to reflect nature. That way it might strengthen your series statement in saying this city is what loud, polluted and ugly, but I dream for that fresh clean environment.

As for the seventh image, I read this as a statement about the American people (or what the media is portraying). Realistically we (in general) are a nation of fearful people (hence why the image of a Pigeon), that try and think of ourselves as bold courageous beings (hence why the image of the Eagle) we dream to be courageous.

I read in one of the previous comments, that there was some confusion of the association for number eight, the reason the woman is looking at Jessica Rabbit, is simply for the idea for dreaming for beauty. Jessica Rabbit is the “ideal” women so to speak, honestly most women these days try their hardest to get those sleek curves.

Sorry I took up a lot of space and normally I don’t write in comments so bear with me, but these are some thoughts and ideas that i felt needed to be said.

Also for future comments that are written for this series or for any artwork, “stupid” doesn’t really describe what isn’t working for an art piece unless you back it up as to why you think its stupid. Because you don’t understand it doesn’t make it stupid. Think constructive criticism.=)

  • PigeonLover wrote on Aug 2, 2008 at 11:46 pm

I hate to break it to you, but pigeons aren’t that fearful. If you have ever been to any major city they’ll walk right up to anyone who has food and wait to see if they drop anything. It is because of this reason I view the pigeon as the other countries that “feed” off of America, wanting to be just like us. However, these days it doesn’t make too much since with our economy the way it is.

  • Top 10 List wrote on Aug 3, 2008 at 12:37 am

The only one I thought was off the mark was the cat wanting to be a wolf. My favorite was the lone figure on the beach.

  • sagesagesage wrote on Aug 3, 2008 at 1:18 am

Wow that’s retarded. These pictures all convey the same theme. Poorly, at that. At least have several different ideas in a set of pictures you unimaginative douche.

  • sagesagesage wrote on Aug 3, 2008 at 1:19 am

also…there’s only one emotion being conveyed here moron…

  • burningzeppelin wrote on Aug 3, 2008 at 5:15 am

hmmm, I see the whole pigeon deal as it is portraying all the people in America who don’t have job’s, don’t contribute to our country, yet beg and try to eat out of the hands of those who do make a difference. In other words, people on welfare would be considered a pigeon while everyone else is more or less an eagle.

  • shopkeeper wrote on Aug 3, 2008 at 7:28 am

you knuckleheads…my job mainly is to mock those morons whose inch and a half dicks get hard, just for a few seconds, when they realize that their-yes their! idiot comments can be posted instantly (and for free) for the rest of the inch and a half knuckleheads to read, never mind that to impress an idiot is no great feat…but these moronic scribblings take the cake! My usual caustic wit has been shut down-no doubt because of the the extreme low level of sociability and intelligence of these douchey commenters. Let me recover just for a second and leave you with this-those who comment on these internet walls, roll their shit in little balls-those that read these words of wit-eat those little balls of shit.. And one more thing…..Photoshopped!! (double exclamation points used in conjunction with photoshopped” patent pending)

  • hahah wrote on Aug 4, 2008 at 6:51 am

Well played shopkeeper. I wonder how long your inch-and-half dick was hard for after thinking of that comment. To write that, and read all the other comments must mean you have some pretty disgusting hands, and you must be pretty full of shit, from all the shit you’ve been eating.

  • SEXY wrote on Aug 4, 2008 at 11:46 am

So sad, that reality is not the vision of the shadows…or something, i’m tired.

  • Jonathan wrote on Aug 9, 2008 at 4:22 am

It has got to where I don’t even read comments anymore. It’s just a piece for God’s sake;move on. What’s wrong with people these days?? I thought they were pretty good myself

  • Morgan wrote on Aug 9, 2008 at 5:39 am

’stupid’? oh please, go back to your internet porn. I have no doubt you yourselves often yearn to be something bigger. I wish I had the creativity or skill to create such moving images!

  • liz wrote on Aug 22, 2008 at 9:03 pm

These are not creative, they are cliche. They seem like they just started learning to use Photoshop. Check out Jeff Wall’s work then try to tell me this is good.

  • miragana wrote on Sep 5, 2008 at 1:01 pm
